After a long awaited return, football is back ladies and gentlemen! premature trash talk, ridiculous predictions, and early ACL injuries are in full swing!

Since the acquisition of former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, The hype train for the Chicago Bears has been in full steam all offseason. Every Chicago football fanatic has been licking their chops to get a taste of  Nagy's new offense....

...well two preseason games have passed, and we haven't seen shit....

The Bears starting offense looked basic as fuck during their two drive stint in the Week 1 preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but this doesn’t mean that Bears fans should panic just yet!

It’s just a preseason game! In this point of the season, coaches aren't using their real playbooks. They're calling basic plays to evaluate personnel and make critical roster decisions for the future.

Here are some of the key takeaways from the Bears' preseason tilt against the Bengals...

So far, Kevin White still appears to be a trash player...

He only played for two series, but it appears that White is truly living up to his "bust" reputation. In those two series, White was targeted three times, with ZERO receptions. On a third down play, White completely dropped a simple curl route (See above), which was put on the money by Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

I don’t believe he’ll be in a Bears jersey for long....

James Daniels isn't a starter...But he looks like one

For some baffling reason, the Bears decided to let their second-round pick ride the pine for the first two series as the starters took the field. Daniels played most of the game with second string, but he didn’t look like a second string player. On one goal Line score by the Bears, Daniels seem to single-handedly wipe out the entire Bengals interior defensive line.

.....Meanwhile, bears starting Left Guard  Eric Kush and Center Cody Whitehair were getting their asses handed to them by Bengals Defensive Tackle Geno Atkins.

Kyle Fuller showed us why he was worth retaining

From the perspective of a Bears fan, this was the most exciting play of the night. John Ross stumbled on a comeback route and Fuller wasted no time jumping the route and taking it to the house for six! Thank you Ryan Pace for keeping the kid on the squad!

Our backup cornerbacks are clearly trash...

Prince Amukamara sat out of the week 1 preseason opener, allowing our reserve cornerbacks to get some action

...that was a mistake...

Marcus Cooper was effortlessly bullied all night by Bengals receivers, and Andy Dalton took advantage of every opportunity.

I understand that it’s a task Covering A.J. green, but you let John Ross bake your ass you too? C’mon son....

Adam Shaheen has the tools to be Gronk-adjace

I attended a Bears Practice this summer, and witnessed Shaheen put grown man body on baby defensive backs during jump ball drills. There aren’t too many 6’7’ 270 pound tight ends that can remotely play to the Level of Rob Gronkowski, But Shaheen has all the potential to.

Tyler Bray looks like a competent #2 QB

Besides tossing that sorry ass sideline interception against the Bengals, potential backup Quarterback Tyler Bray has effectively moved the ball in his past two games. Against the Bengals, Bray lobbed a gorgeous spiral to Daniel Brown that went for 57 yards. Chase Daniel better tighten his game up.

How will Isaiah Irving's injuries effect his chances to get on the field?

If you watched the Hall of Fame game, you may have Noticed #47 flying off the edge, fucking shit up on nearly every series he played...

That’s Isaiah Irving...

The promising second-year Linebacker who has the capability to be a real contributor for the Bears was too dinged up to play against the Bengals in the Week 1 preseason matchup. Let’s just hope it’s precautionary because the kid has potential to shine in upcoming weeks.
