Gargano gets his revenge on Ciampa, setting the stage for a grudge match at NXT Takeover: New Orleans

Johnny's Revenge

I’ve mentioned time and time again that NXT is not only the best in -ring wrestling promotion WWE has, it also has the best feuds/angles in the company. Tommaso Ciampa came out to the ring again for the 3rd time to speak to the NXT universe; only to be greeted with vicious boos by the crowd as they screamed for Johnny. Ciampa snapped and began berating the crowd reminding them that Johnny is never coming back. Gargano was hiding behind one of the signs and jumped the gate and pounced on Ciampa as a brawl ensued. Security broke it up as Ciampa was confused on why Johnny was here. A powerful segment here as everyone wants to see a match between the two to finally settle their hate towards each other. No other match during Wrestlemania weekend has the build such as this one; NXT Takeover: NOLA just went to another level.

Quick Hits

The Dusty Rhodes Classic continued with a new team joining the tournament, as Roderick Strong had to find a partner to compete, who turned out to be the UK Champion Pete Dunne.  For a tag team thrown together because of common enemies, Dunne and Strong displayed chemistry that made them look like long time partners. Sanity vs. Pete Dunne/Roderick Strong & AOP vs. Street Profits are slated for next week in an action packed NXT episode.

Whoa, Adam Cole & Kassius Ohno had a great match last night. This match was fast paced as each hit felt so real that you can feel it. Cole showed his versatility by wrestling someone who is visibly bigger than him. Another good thing about Cole’s win is that he did it without the Undisputed ERA, showing that he can win matches on his own without any dirty tactics.

William Regal has an announcement that will shake NXT’s core. Will this be the announcement of the new mid-card NXT North American Championship belt?
