Johnny Gargano gets one last chance at glory in NXT

Johnny Gargano’s Final Chance

 WWE

WWE

The best story in wrestling right now is Johnny Gargano’s fighting spirit. His promo this week was wonderful as he apologized to his fans for not winning the NXT championship, and furthered his feuds with Almas & Ciampa. To make things even more exciting, Johnny’s wife Candice, interrupted Zelina Vega’s cocky promo with a push. Vega then gave Johnny an ultimatum; Johnny has to leave NXT if he fails to capture the NXT championship from Almas in their next match. Being the babyface that he is, he couldn’t back down from that challenge and accepted. We know Gargano’s fans are worried that the “Blackheart” Ciampa will interfere in some capacity, which increases the excitement for this rivalry. Can Gargano capture gold or will his time in NXT come to an end?

Sanity vs. Undisputed ERA

 WWE

WWE

Would you look at this: another NXT episode, another great main event. Originally, this was a tag team championship match, which was to start the program. Once both teams entered, a brawl ensued leading GM William Regal to book a tornado tag team match with all six wrestlers. This match was an appropriate conclusion as each member of their respective team gave it their all. The ending actually created a divide in the wrestling community. Killian Dain was pushed heavy in this match (to be fair, he dominates most of his matches) with a dominating win over Undisputed ERA by dispatching all three members. I think it was a good idea to push Dain as this unstoppable monster, Adam Cole has been on a bit of a losing streak but he has been the best loser I have seen in a while. Cole is a star so he can take a team loss as Sanity comes up on top.

Quick Hits

NXT does a great job highlighting their women’s division. Bianca Belair is still squashing weak opponents while establishing her dominance & Shayna Bazler is convinced that Ember Moon does not want to face her with her intense promo. Ember Moon, Kairi Sane, Belair, Bazler, the Women’s division is in good hands with these prospects.

After Tyler Bate’s interview, it seems that he’s going to be a fixture in the NXT scene. I can’t wait to see him have matches with the likes of Adam Cole, Aleister Black or new signee, Ricochet.

Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss are seemingly heading towards a break up. After a loss to Heavy Machinery, Moss walked out on Sabbatelli in shame. This won’t be a feud that will attract many viewers but it has an interesting story to tell.
